Alan’s Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

2 ½ cups organic ketchup
2 cup dark brown sugar
½ cup molasses
¾ cup pineapple juice
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoon Worchester sauce
3 heaping teaspoons ground mustard
6 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 cold water mixed with 1 tablespoon corn starch
16 ounces tomato juice
1 ½ liters Coca-Cola
1 small can frozen orange concentrate
¼ cup honey
16 ounces apple juice


Instructions
 
Combine all the ingredients except the water and corn starch mixture in a medium size sauce pot. Bring to a boil.

Reduce and simmer for five minutes or until all the sugar has dissolved.

Add the water and corn starch mixture.

Simmer until it thickens, it happens fast!

Add tomato juice, Coke, orange concentrate, apple juice and honey then bring to a simmer. 

Reduce to desired thickness and taste. 

(Additional Coke can be added to mellow the flavor.)
