Alan’s Mincemeat Pie
Ingredients:
1 lb
Venison Neck Meat
3/4 tsp Salt
3 cups Apple,
peeled and chopped
1/3 cup
suet
3/4 cup Apple
Cider
1
Tbs ground Mace
1/2 TBS Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup
dried Currants
3 TBS chopped candied Lemon peal
Directions:
Boil the
meat and then chop it finely into small pieces.
In a large bowl, combine chopped apples, chopped suet, cider, spices, and fruit. Add the beef and apple cider and mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Then bake in a 400 degree oven for about 45 minutes, or until the crust looks golden brown.
